The Progressive Rock Group U.K. is Back in Quebec City!
After playing to a full house last year, the legendary progressive rock group U.K. is back in the national capital!
Last year, U.K. performed in trio in Quebec City. This year, four musicians will play U.K.’s first album and King Crimson’s songs.
The two progressive rock icons Eddie Jobson and John Wetton will be supported on stage by the renowned drummer Virgil Donati and the young guitar prodigy Alex Machacek.
Created in England in 1977 by the keyboardist and violinist Eddie Jobson (Roxy Music, Frank Zappa), the singer and bassist John Wetton (King Crimson), the guitarist Alan Holdworth (Soft Machine) and the drummer Bill Bruford (Yes, King Crimson, Genesis), U.K. is considered as the last of the great progressive rock groups of the 70’s British movement.
With their high-level performances, the group U.K. has always won the musicians’ admiration. Their music has inspired groups like Rush, Van Halen and Dream Theater.
A V.I.P package is available for this show. This package includes a meeting with the band at 5:30, followed by a Q&A session with Eddie Jobson about U.K.’s music and a master class on the understanding of music.
