The progressive rock group Saga will be at Le Cabaret du Capitole on February 9, 2013. This will be an opportunity for these Toronto artists to present their new album entitled “20/20”.
This is their first album to be released since the return of Michael Sadler with the band. The original Saga singer left the band in 2007 to take a break from the stressful touring life and also to get some time off with his family. The band then hired another singer (Rob Moratti). With the latter, the group recorded the album “The Human Condition” in 2009. Two years later, in January 2011, a press release announced the return of Michael Sadler with Saga.
With their past twenty albums, the members of Saga have produced hits like “On the Loose”, “The Flyer” and “Scratching the Surface”. They have sold more than 8 million of albums worldwide.
Created in 1977, Saga, by its originality, has gained many followers all over the planet. The band’s musical style is defined by Ian Crichton’s guitar staccatos which are supported by Jim Gilmour’s synthesizer in complex arrangements that often combine three musicians.
According to their agent, the most loyal Saga fan base is here, in Quebec City. Incidentally, the group gave several shows including some at the Colisée. Their last visit in the city goes back to October 2011, when Saga played to a full house at Le Cabaret du Capitole.
Mosquito-B, a Quebec City band, will be the opening act for this new concert. Their Brit-pop musical style allowed them to tour all over England.
